I really like the twist on the soulmate trope where they’re not generally known and hence comes with an additional burden to know, as well as the reimagining of how the story might go with this one piece altered.

This fusion is so well done, it fits the characters into the world of Pacific Rim seamlessly, not to mention the plot continues from the premise extremely well. My heart ached for them, and the place where they get to is very satisfying. And there’s a whole bunch of beautiful art, too!

I really like the mix of MCU canon with the mythology, it’s all very sweet and adorable, and the slow progression of their relationship is delightful. And it was all inspired by art featuring a pretty magical horse with the boys.
