Definitely fallen in too deep

This week was kind of unproductive when it came to writing, on one hand it was because I had a lot of things to do, and on the other hand I wasn't feeling that great. I thought it might be a cold, but I seem to have avoided it, at least for now. Have to bundle up tomorrow, though, since it promises to be freezing, probably the coldest day we've had yet this winter.

I advanced the same pre-IW WIP as last week, finished chapter two and got about halfway through chapter three. I also refined the outline, added some details, and as a result, it now looks like it'll be eight chapters rather than seven like I said last week.

It's also funny to think of the reverse big bang, in that I'll be writing something for it starting March, and yet I obviously can't do any sort of planning for it. I was kind of itching to do something, though, so I started the outline for my regular big bang fic. I decided already last fall the overall idea for it, and was just waiting to clear my schedule enough to start it. No actual writing done yet, but it's in the works.

Another year started, holidays are over and it's time to get back to regular business.

For me that means the holiday fic Half Agony, Half Hope is now all posted, fairly stress free process this year. I'll be back again next year, most likely anyway, and we'll see if I'll land on another AU. It's funny, because I tend to go with canon compliant or at least diverging from it, I've only written four AUs, but three of them have been for the holidays. No clue what the next one would be, I don't have that many AU hankerings, maybe something mythology related. We'll have to see what inspires me sometime next summer.

Recently I've been mostly editing, but I did start my new story this week. About three quarters of the first chapter is written, and I'll continue with it next week as well. I actually don't know how many chapters there will be, I didn't feel like making an outline yet, so I have a rough shape in my head that I'm working toward, but not a scene list or anything like that. It' won't be short, but not super long either, I'd currently say definitely less than ten chapters. It's canon compliant, set after Black Panther ending and overlapping with Infinity War. I'm hoping to get it done fairly rapidly, just to get into writing groove again after the editing heavy period I just had. Roughly the theme of it is that even when someone is the most important person to you, it doesn't mean being with them is always easy, and now they're trying to work their way through some of those difficulties.
